FAQ - Most Common questions

Why did you change your brand from Vermont to La Maison Signature Sauces?

Our company is still Vermont Signature Sauces, however, we have had to change the name of our brand because of the State Law which requires that you "produce" in Vermont, to keep the name as part of the brand. While some of our flavors are produced in Vermont, we were fortunate to find a family-owned, multi-generation co-packer in Connecticut to fit our growing needs. We are keeping it close to home and keeping it in New England.

Are your sauces made in Vermont?

We are manufactured in both Vermont and Connecticut. Our business offices and shipping are still located in Vermont.

What method of payments do you accept?

For your convenience and security, we use Paypal to process your order.

Is it safe to ship perishable products?

We have a shelf stable product with a two year shelf life.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?

No. There is no sales tax on food items in Vermont.

Do you offer Gift Certificate?

Yes, we will offer gift certificates. Purchase must meet or exceed gift certificate value, as there are no refunds on gift certificates.

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We will not supply our customer lists to other businesses. (Check or credit card information is destroyed after the sale is final.)

What is your returns policy?

Food items may not be returned by law.

What is your policy if a product is not available?

While we feel this is an unlikely situation, we will substitute with permission only.

Should I place my order online or offline?

We recommend online orders using Paypal.

Does La Maison Signature Sauces have a retail storefront where I can shop?

Our products are available throughout the U.S.A. and Canada and you may find us in a store near you under our "Shop Locally" menu. Otherwise you may shop on-line.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We ship Fed-Ex ground and USPS unless the customer wants a rush delivery and costs associated with it. We will ship within 48 hours Mon thru Thurs. If an order comes in on a Friday, it will be shipped the following Monday.

Can I store the sauces outside the refrigerator until I open it?

All of our sauces have a stable two-year-shelf-life

Once opened, how soon do I have to consume it before it goes bad?

Once opened, our sauces should be refrigerated for up to 7-10 days. However, the product freezes well , and we recommend you bring it back to a full thaw before reheating. (Note: Some of our customers freeze leftovers in an ice cube tray, transfer the cubes to a plastic bag and thaw each cube as they need it).
