POMEGRANATE-GLAZED TURKEY DRUMSTICKS W/ BLACK BEANS

Ingredients:

 

4    Turkey Drumsticks

2    16-oz Cans black beans, washed and drained

1    Sweet Onion, sliced

2     Cloves garlic, sliced

1 tsp    Salt

1 tsp    Ground pepper

2 TBL    Cider vinegar

1/4 Cup    Dark Beer

2 TBL    Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup    Dark Molasses

1 jar La Maison Signature Sauces Pomegranate w/Saffron Sauce

 


How to Prepare:

Oven or Grill Method:

  • Place beans, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, cider vinegar, beer, 1/4 cup of La Maison Pomegranate w/Saffron Sauce and brown sugar in pan and simmer on low for at least an hour or more.
  • Take remaining Pomegranate w/Saffron Sauce and 1/4 cup molasses and heat in small pan on stove until completely incorporated and sauce thickens.
  • Roast turkey drumsticks in oven or grill for 30-40 min.  Baste and turn legs often to evenly distribute cooking.
  • Save any remaining sauce to serve on the side at the table.
  • Serve w/ black Beans.

Crock Pot Method:

  • Brown turkey legs in sauté pan, using 1TBL olive oil and place in bottom of crock pot.
  • Place beans, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, cider vinegar, beer and brown sugar over turkey legs and cook on Med/Low for 4-5 hours.
  • Baste drumsticks with sauce before serving.
